A Google TechTalk, 2026-01-21, presented by Artie Shevchenko

SWEdu Tech Talk. ABSTRACT: Is code quality inherently subjective? In this talk, we'll explore how to move beyond the notion of "code smells" toward a rigorous, largely objective framework for evaluating and improving code health. Drawing from my recently published book "Code Health Guardian", I'll share both the core ideas and some behind-the-scenes stories from its creation.

We'll explore the theoretical foundation, demonstrate how to apply this model to several practices, explore several powerful techniques, then focus on the processes that shape code quality.
