This lecture reconstructs fundamental arithmetic operations—addition and multiplication—within a multiset theoretic framework, defining natural numbers, polynumbers, and multinumbers as nested multisets. It explores closure properties and distinct algebraic structures.
This lecture systematically defines natural numbers as primitive expressions, examining their nomenclature and organization. It delineates the distinction between cardinal and ordinal number usage and introduces the successor operation for natural number ordering.
