1:13:29·2026·graduate level·Research Seminar

Proposing a multi-scale, popularity-based model of consciousness, this talk explores implications for cognitive rates, scale-invariant cognition, and the nature of conscious experience.

This is a ~44 minute talk and ~29 minute discussion with Narcis Marincat (https://narcissus.medium.com/, https://www.linkedin.com/in/narcis-marincat), who proposes a popularity-based, multi-scale model of consciousness in human populations, and then we discuss issues of cognitive rate, multi-scale cognition, and consciousness.
